Ingredients
- 1 lb Brisket or Top Round
- 1 large white onion quartered
- 1 carrot sliced
- Tomato Sauce
- Flour
- Salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400f
- Take a piece of brisket or top round sprinkle with salt
- Brown in oven uncovered (fat side down approximately 15 minutes)
- Turn over
- Reduce heat to 375f
- Add a little tomato sauce and/or water
- Add Onion
- Add Carrot
- Cover and roast slowly for about 3 hours
- Turn meat around once every 30 minutes
- Remove meat from pan
Gravy
- Strain gravy
- Mix some flour in cold water and add slowly to stock at your desired thickness
